Getting whitelisted basically means getting approved by a seller who has the ability to accept or reject affiliates who want to promote their products. This is a great way for both sellers and affiliate marketers to do business.
You want to get whitelisted. Internet marketing is such a behind the scenes business, that it’s all too easy for anyone to claim to be a marketer and start promoting products. The problem is that there are a lot of people who would hide behind the anonymity and be less than honest in their business dealings. They’re only out to take advantage of people.
To fight back against fraudulent business dealings, some sites are taking steps to protect sellers by allowing them to screen people who want to promote their products. One of the reasons for this is because of how easy it is for a dishonest person to take a stolen credit card and use it online with the product seller.
The affiliates got paid instantly, but because they were using a stolen credit card, it caused a double whammy for the seller. The seller ended up paying twice. Once for the affiliate and again because they had to pay back the payment center that processed the card.
To offset fraud, places like JVZoo and WarriorPlus set up a whitelist system to weed out those with fraudulent intentions. This step is especially helpful when it comes to instant commissions.
Getting whitelisted establishes a link of trust between the seller and the affiliate marketer. You can get whitelisted by introducing yourself to the product seller whose products you want to promote. This helps them see a real person behind the scenes. You introduce yourself to the seller and then explain to them how you like to promote and review products.
Since there are so many scam artists on the Internet, these people have to move quickly from one scam to the next. They don’t settle down online long enough to leave any traceable footprints.
Many of them set up a scammy website and then take off once they’ve gotten what they want from the seller. So it’s no wonder why some digital product creators are very wary of product promoters.
You have to show them that you have integrity and that you’re here to do honest business with them. You can establish yourself with a seller by showing them your site. This way, they can take a look around and see that you’re legitimate. Make sure you tell them how you plan to promote, too.
